MadeBrave® is celebrating a successful third birthday by moving office to The Albus building in Glasgow’s Bridgeton.

The award-winning design agency, run by Andrew Dobbie, has announced a turnover of £647,000, up £227,000 on last year, with a projection for their fourth year of £1.2m.

Having doubled in size since January 2014, the business is now taking a space three times the size of their current home in Merchant City’s South Block building.

The Albus building on Eastgate, Bridgeton, is part of a larger regeneration project by Clyde Gateway to transform the communities of the city’s east end and build upon a long-lasting post Commonwealth Games legacy.

The property, designed by JM Architects, was a winner at this year’s Scottish Property Awards held in March, securing the Architectural Excellence Award (Commercial Buildings), beating off competition from the likes of Balmoral Business Park in Aberdeen.

MadeBrave® will be an integral part of the rejuvenation of the area by being the first company to take up residence in The Albus when they move from their current office in Glasgow’s South Block in April this year.

Fionna Kell, Senior Manager, Inward Investment & Property Marketing, Clyde Gateway said, “I am delighted to welcome MadeBrave® as our first tenant in The Albus. This award-winning building was conceived and designed to attract exactly this kind of creative company and their move is testimony to the entrepreneurial culture of the east end. MadeBrave’s relocation to the area is the latest in a number of firms choosing to establish and grow their business in Clyde Gateway and we look forward to welcoming others”.

Agency

MadeBrave® attribute the bulk of their success to being a full-service agency, with the ability to support clients with all aspects of their design, digital, marketing and social media needs. Renowned and celebrated brands such as Aggreko, Bowmore Whisky, Springbank, Linn Products, Air Space, The SSE Hydro and Mary’s Meals are on their client list. While for the second year running, they have entered into a partnership with the innovative TEDx brand as the Official Creative Partner.

MadeBrave® was started by Andrew Dobbie in March 2012 with an idea, £1000 of personal savings and a newborn baby at home. Just three years on, the agency is now 20 strong and in the need for a bigger space so that it can continue to grow and service the client base.

Andrew, who is now on the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce Council of Directors, spent almost 12-months looking for the perfect space before finding The Albus building.

“There’s a great buzz around Bridgeton at the moment and we’re excited to be part of the area’s regeneration and future.” He said, “As for the building, The Albus is great - it just feels very MadeBrave® and as you can guess, we’re excited to put our own creative stamp on it.”

MadeBrave® have enlisted the services of several locally based suppliers to create a space that is both unique and functional. The team is looking forward to moving into the new premises and ultimately welcoming new members to MadeBrave® as it continues to grow.
