Glaister to leave Lloyds private bank

MALCOLM Glaister is leaving Lloyds TSB private bank as head of key clients to take up another role.

Glaister, based in the London office but reporting to Philip Grant in Edinburgh, played a part in building the team at the private bank and his departure prompted speculation of restructuring. It is understood that he will be taking up a position outside Lloyds.

The bank has been keen to become one of the top five private banks in the UK. Last September Grant announced plans for the UK wealth division to triple its client base.
