Giovanni Ghione suddenly quits Dawson

SCOTTISH textiles firm Dawson International yesterday announced its deputy chairman and non-executive director, Giovanni Ghione, had resigned with immediate effect.

No explanation was offered by the firm. It said: "The board of directors … would like to thank Mr Ghione for his valuable contribution." Ghione rejoined the Dawson board in February 2010, having previously served between 2002 and 2006.
