Fresh buyback move from Alliance Trust

ALLIANCE Trust, the Dundee-based asset manager, continued with its share buy-back scheme yesterday, snapping up a further 250,000 shares in the company at 332.3p each.

The trust, which is trying to reduce the difference between its share price and the value of its assets, spent about £830,000, reducing the number of its shares in circulation to just over 608 million. The stock closed up 2.7p at 335.5p.
