Free web coding session on offer by Yard

Digital design agency Yard is to offer a free seminar and workshop next week on building a responsive website.

Yard wants to help close the digital skills gap

The event, part of this year’s National Coding Week, comes a survey shows 52 per cent UK adults said they would feel “extremely or very” daunted at the prospect of learning to code.

Yard’s senior web developer Radek Milcarz, who will be running the workshop at the firm’s Edinburgh office on 25 September, said: “We believe that working to close the digital skills gap in the UK is of key importance, which is why we offer digital training in schools and in our local communities.

“As more and more people choose to use their smartphones or tablets to browse the internet, it is becoming increasingly necessary to know at least the basics of responsive web design, which we will be covering in the afternoon workshop we are running this year.”
