Fragile confidence hits staff demand

CONFIDENCE among employers is “fragile”, with demand for staff increasing at its slowest pace for two years, a new report has revealed.

The Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) also said pay rises were “subdued”, with hourly rates for temporary workers only showing a “modest” increase last month.
