Forth brings new dimension to games

FIFE technology firm Forth Dimension Displays (FDD) yesterday unveiled plans to demonstrate its latest virtual reality helmet at this month's E3 Gaming Conference in Los Angeles and IVR Expo in Tokyo.

Chief executive Greg Truman said: "Our vision is to deliver a display where the user will be unable to tell the difference from reality."

The firm, previously chaired by Fred Hallsworth, the former head of accountancy firm Arthur Andersen in Scotland, was sold in January by investors Doughty Hanson and Amadeus to Kopin in a 7 million deal.
