A fit-out and refurbishment company that has carried out work for the Scotch Whisky Association and Green Investment Bank has expanded into a new office in Edinburgh.

East Kilbride-based AKP Scotland said the move to Redheughs Rigg in the city’s South Gyle business park showed its commitment “to continue to build upon an increasing portfolio of high profile clients and projects coming from the east of the country”.

Joint managing director Ian McEwan added: “A series of successful projects and contract wins has made us expand our operation into Edinburgh.”

As well as winning deals with the Green Investment Bank and Scotch Whisky Association, which has moved its headquarters to the Quartermile regeneration scheme, AKP has secured work with the University of Edinburgh and a fit-out contract at the Stamp Office on Waterloo Place.
