Dunfermline’s Poster Creative has been cherrypicked by the lender as part of the latter's Survive and Revive campaign to support UK businesses.

The poster firm started out earlier this year, selling original art designed and printed in Scotland, and the small, family-run business will feature in the bank’s “marketplace” on digital screens in branch for six weeks, starting in early December.

“The economic impact of the pandemic led us to reflect and refocus our creative talents towards starting a new business, Poster Creative, sharing our passions and inspirations and turning them into visual form to create a diverse range of striking poster designs that people can bring into their homes to enjoy.

“We’re thrilled that Santander UK have chosen us to feature in their ‘Survive and Revive’ campaign, created to help businesses that have pivoted in response to coronavirus.”

The poster firm cited research from Santander UK earlier in the year revealing that a third of the UK’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) plan to make their Covid-19 adaptations a permanent feature – as almost half found they not only survived, but actually grew their customer base during the pandemic.

To support SMEs, Santander UK launched Survive and Revive to help them transition out of the lockdown and ensure they have the capabilities and tools to prosper in a post-pandemic environment.

Susan Davies, head of business banking at Santander UK, said: “SMEs are the backbone of the UK economy, and now more than ever, are proving to be invaluable to the local communities they serve. With the launch of our ‘marketplace,’ we hope to continue to help small businesses, such as Poster Creative, as we manage through local lockdowns and try to get the economy moving again.”
