Utility ROV Services (URS) is unveiling two new ROV systems at its Glenrothes base this week, providing the extra capacity that justifies the recruitment.
The new employees will work on back-to-back shifts operating the systems. In addition, the company said it had secured an extra £3m from private investment that will allow it to build a total of five units, giving a total spend of £9m.
URS was set up in 2013, bringing subsea capabilities to help the energy sector from the management team’s background in commercial salvage.
