Fast-growing Scots social enterprise takes up space in former East Lothian village school
Heavy Sound CIC is taking 2,145 square feet of business space at The Cockenzie Hub in Cockenzie and Port Seton.
It is relocating there from its current base in Tranent and has committed to a three-year term at an undisclosed rent.
The Cockenzie Hub, which dates back to 1865 and was originally Cockenzie Primary School, is now 75 per cent occupied with just five suites remaining. It was acquired last October by Allied Surveyors on behalf of East Lothian-based Moscar LLP.
Allied Surveyor’s director of commercial agency (east) Iain Mercer said: “This is a significant letting for our client.”
Heavy Sound CIC chief executive Jordan Butler said: “The Cockenzie Hub is perfect for us. We will be able to provide a full range of services as well as developing new programmes.”
