EY's Sue Dawe named patron of Women in Banking and Finance

Sue Dawe, EY’s head of financial services in Scotland, has been appointed a patron of Women in Banking and Finance (WIBF) – the only one based north of the Border.

She is the fifth patron of the non-profit organisation, which provides career development opportunities, mentoring, recognition and industry-acknowledged thought leadership to members.

Dawe leads EY’s financial services practice in Scotland and is the managing partner for the Edinburgh office. She is a member of EY’s UK financial services leadership team and a member of the EY UK LLP board.

Additionally, she is on Scotland’s Financial Services Advisory Board and the board of Scottish Financial Enterprise. She has been with EY for 31 years; an audit partner since 2009, and has more than 25 years of experience dedicated to the financial services sector, working with many global organisations.

WIBF president Vivienne Artz welcomed Dawe's appointment. "Sue joins us as a hugely powerful advocate and role model for our mission to bring a gender lens to UK financial services and her appointment reinforces our unique position as a UK-wide network, which includes branch networks in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Additionally, EY colleague Kat Rae, senior manager in the firm’s financial services risk practice, joins the WIBF Edinburgh Board.
