Expanding HR firm saw sales double last year

Oil and gas recruitment firm Infinity Resources International is hiring more staff of its own after doubling its turnover last year.

Business has been booming for the Aberdeen-based group as competition intensifies for trained workers in the offshore industry.

Infinity’s turnover hit £5.3 million in the year to March, up from £2.5m in the previous 12 months, and the firm is aiming to pass the £10m mark by the end of next year.

The rapid expansion saw the group add five staff last year to take its team to 12, and it expects to hire a further three people in the next six months.

The company recently moved to bigger premises and now has scope for at least 18 employees in a 1,300sq ft office in the city’s west end.

Chief executive Martin Finnie said: “Last year was a strong one for Infinity and we’re really looking to push forward again this year.

“We have retained clients and secured new ones due to our team’s strong understanding of the recruitment market in the engineering sector.

“It’s an exciting time for everyone connected to the business.”

Infinity, which sources personnel for oil and gas operators around the globe, also revealed that it is in talks with a Malaysian-based peer over a joint venture for the Asian market.
