Four ex-JLL’s senior commercial property advisers have formed a new Scottish consultancy specialising in property investment and development.

The venture, known as Lismore, will be jointly owned by its directors Simon Cusiter, Chris Macfarlane and Richard Mackie – who were partners at King Sturge prior to the merger with JLL in 2011 – as well as Colin Finlayson, who spent 20 years with JLL and was a regional director in the national investment team.

The quartet has handled more than 400 transactions, with a combined deal value in excess of £4 billion.

Lismore’s services will cover sales and acquisitions, development fundings and joint ventures across all property sectors. It will operate from a base in Edinburgh’s George Street and focus on the Scottish market.

Finlayson said: “We strongly believe there is a real gap in Scotland for an alternative niche adviser that thinks differently and is completely focused on providing a quality and bespoke service to clients.”

Macfarlane added: “It's an exciting time to be starting the business. The fact that we are an established team that has worked together on many of Scotland’s top property deals for many years will allow us to hit the ground running."
