Evans rides into Aberdeen with fourth Scots store
Evans Cycles has opened a fourth Scottish store after taking a unit in Aberdeen's Great Northern Road, property consultancy CBRE said today.
The branch extends to 4,000sq ft and allows the firm to access a new customer base in the north-east following a ten-year commitment to the city. Evans has existing stores in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Iain Landsman, associate director of CBRE Aberdeen, said: “It is fantastic that Evans Cycles has chosen to open its first store in Aberdeen. It is a great addition to the city, which has a strong cycling heritage.
“The unit has superb prominence being located on Great Northern Road, making it an excellent choice for a high-profile national retailer like Evans Cycles.”
Having already enjoyed 95 years of success, Evans Cycles is the largest cycling specialist in the UK, with more than 50 stores nationwide, and stocks a range of bikes designed by Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy.
CBRE represented the landlord National Australia Group CIF Trustees in the transaction, while Harvey Spackfield represented Evans Cycles.
