Europa acquires Nationwide division

EUROPA, a facilities management firm chaired by Scottish businessman Billy Allan, has bought Nationwide Building Services Group for an undisclosed sum.

The new division will trade as Europa Nationwide Technical Services and will be run by its current management team. The group includes Nationwide Maintenance, Nationwide LCS and Falcon Mechanical.

Post acquisition, the firm will employ about 2,500 staff.

Allan, who sold a facilities management business to Alfred McAlpine in 2002, is chief executive of Aberdeen-based logistics firm Asco.
