Estate agent offers home report deal

AN ESTATE agency that last year offered to sell homes for free has come up with a scheme to try to stimulate house sales during what is perceived as the traditionally quiet winter period.

Robert Carroll, managing director at Mov8, is offering half-price home reports, the documents sellers need to produce before putting their houses on the market.

He said: “People don’t think this is a good time of year to sell and they put it off until the new year. This perception is wrong and there is a great chance in November and December to get their property sold this year.”

The days after Christmas were the busiest time of year for his firm’s website, Carroll said.
