Esh Border Construction has also picked up £6.4m of contracts for two social housing programmes in Hawick and £2.7m of deals with NHS Lothian.

Regional managing director for Scotland, Simon Phillips, said the Livingston base will initially employ five people, with ten more expected to join over the coming six months.

He added: “While our new contract wins are helping reinforce our position in the south of Scotland, we are looking at potential projects in the Central Belt.

“We have already made significant progress having made some impressive senior appointments with vast experience, including Donald Brown who has joined us as estimating manager based at our new Livingston office.”
