The contruction firm, which forms part of Cumbria-based Esh Group, said recent wins, current projects and recent completions totalled around £30 million in value. It operates the business out of offices in Carlisle, Kendal, Earlston and a base in Livingston launched earlier this year.

The firm said it has strengthened its reputation as a key social housing developer and contractor with work across Scotland and the north of England, including seven new bungalows in North Berwick with Castle Rock Edinvar Housing Association and a contract for eight houses at Deanfield in Hawick with Scottish Borders Housing Association.

It plans to further extend its activity in Scotland on the back of the new West Lothian base and has recently secured a framework agreement to repair and refurbish housing stock in Edinburgh.

Regional managing director of Esh Border Construction, Simon Phillips, said: “Our strong reputation for successful delivery of both new build and refurbishment projects has resulted in some £30m of social housing projects, and we aim to continue growing that further, simultaneously enhancing geographical coverage.

“In taking on these projects, we have utilised our significant experience across a broad spectrum of sectors, including education, retail, industrial, commercial, leisure, public, healthcare, and historic buildings.”
