ERT bought by Dutch firm Fugro

ERT (Scotland), a marine environmental consultancy based in Edinburgh, has been bought by listed Dutch firm Fugro for an undisclosed sum, it emerged yesterday.

ERT employs 25 staff in the capital and has been providing services to the global oil, gas and renewables industries for more than 35 years. It will become part of Fugro GeoConsulting's earth science consultancy. Barry Fraser of Ernst & Young advised on the deal.
