ELPG still dominates city sales

THE ELPG group of property solicitors said its members have maintained its dominant role in the Capital despite the departure of two member firms.

The group – which consists of Warners, Neilsons, Drummond Miller, Leslie Deans & Company and The Lints Partnership – again accounted for more than one in four of all sales within the Edinburgh Solicitors Property Centre, which includes more than 200 firms.

In addition, the five member firms all feature in the list of the ESPC's top 10 solicitors in terms of total property registrations in 2008.

John Lints, of the Lints Partnership, said: "This has undoubtedly been a challenging year but as a group we have proven we hold a very strong and trusted position within the marketplace."

The ELPG firms sold a total of 1524 properties in 2008.
