Elonics opens tech centre in Taiwan

Scottish technology company Elonics has opened a support centre in Taiwan.

The new facility will allow the Livingston-based firm and its customers to "evaluate, test and qualify new designs at all stages of the development process".

The semiconductor group, which develops products used for the reception of digital TV and radio, raised 6.1 million last year to accelerate its push into overseas markets.

Chief executive David Srodzinski said: "We recognise that world-class technical support is a key requirement for our greater China customers."
