Electrical giant's record festive push

CURRYS owner DSG International assured investors that its turnaround was on track after record Christmas sales in key trading categories.

Its Currys and online outlets sold a computer and a television every two seconds as sales in the UK and Ireland electrical division rose 8 per cent on a like-for-like basis in the 12 weeks to 9 January. However, at PC World, comparable sales fell 3 per cent.
