Edinburgh’s ‘biggest business awards’ return for 16th year
“Every business has a story, and our awards shine a spotlight on the achievements that often go unseen” – Liz McAreavey
Edinburgh’s biggest business awards will be returning for a 16th year, following a launch event this week in the capital.
The 2026 Annual Business Awards, organised by Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce, celebrate the companies behind the city’s economic story.
The city region now generates more than 30 per cent of Scotland’s economy with 20 per cent of its population, and over the past year the capital has been the most productive city per head anywhere in the UK, ahead of London.

The first awards drew a few dozen guests. Last year, 611 business leaders and entrepreneurs from 180 organisations filled the EICC, up 19 per cent on the previous year, with more than 170 entries independently judged.
Chartered accountancy firm Henderson Loggie returns as headline sponsor for 2026.
Chamber chief executive Liz McAreavey said: “Sixteen years on, these awards still come down to the same thing: the people behind Edinburgh's businesses, and the ambition, innovation and determination that continue to drive our economy forward. From fast-growing SMEs to global organisations, it is the talent, ideas and leadership within our business community that make this city one of the best places in the world to do business.
“The awards are an opportunity to celebrate those organisations and individuals who are creating jobs, developing new products and services, investing in their people, and helping shape Edinburgh's future. Every business has a story, and our awards shine a spotlight on the achievements that often go unseen.”
Jaslin Bhagrath, partner and head of accounting and business solutions at Henderson Loggie, added: “These awards are a true highlight of the business calendar, providing an opportunity to celebrate the innovation, resilience and success of Edinburgh’s vibrant business community.
“We are proud to support an event that shines a spotlight on the outstanding organisations and individuals making a positive impact across the city.”
