Economists have the properties Rettie & Co was seeking

SCOTTISH property agency Rettie & Co has bolstered its consultancy and research team with two economists who previously worked in DTZ's Edinburgh office.

Dr John Boyle and Nigel Shekleton join the firm as it continues to expand. Rettie has added more than 30 members of staff since the downturn and opened an office in Glasgow's west end last year. Boyle was a senior economist and associate director at DTZ, leading the firm's work with the Scottish Government and its residential research in Scotland and the north of England. He is also the socioeconomic adviser on a number of major developments across Scotland for a range of public and private sector clients.

Shekleton is also an economist and worked at DTZ.

Matthew Benson, director of land and new homes at Rettie, said: "John and Nigel's considerable experience and specific skill sets will help to ensure that our clients get an unrivalled insight into the drivers of the Scottish market across the residential spectrum."
