DLR Media swoops on fellow Dundee firm and targets more deals
Dundee-based marketing agency DLR Media has snapped up E&R Marketing, and is eyeing further acquisitions.
The deal will see E&R Marketing – also based in Dundee – operate under the DLR Media banner. Additionally, E&R’s founder and MD Craig Campbell will bring a stronger business-to-consumer focus to the agency, with in-depth knowledge of the alcohol and hospitality sectors.
Campbell will take up the role of marketing account manager. He said: “There is a really good complementary fit for our clients who will benefit from being part of DLR Media. This was the next stage of my start-up journey and I am looking forward to growing with the DLR brand.”
He is the latest in a series of senior appointments for the Dundee agency. Harry MacLean recently joined the board as commercial director following his six-figure investment.
Daniel Rosie, MD of DLR Media, said the acquisition reinforces its credentials as one of Scotland’s fastest-growing marketing agencies. He commented: “I am especially pleased to be welcoming Craig at a time when DLR Media is expanding its growth plans. He brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise and I look forward to working with him to develop and grow the businesses of our combined portfolio of clients.
“We have ambitious growth plans set out for the next two years, and this acquisition is just one of the starting steps… Following our recent investment, we are actively looking for ambitious marketing and communications companies throughout the North-east who are interested in joining the DLR Media brand. This follows our growth plan along with further appointments and office locations on the horizon.”
