DIY disasters prove costly

MORE than 14 million British men have admitted to wrecking their home as a result of their bungling DIY mishaps.

More than half (51 per cent) confess to having at least one unfinished DIY project lingering in their home. With the cost of each job averaging £140.89, a whopping £2,011,480,093 worth of
fix-ups are lying in wait across the UK.

Another cost lies in the fact nearly one million women in the UK said they’ve requested their partner buy them a gift to make up for their home-wrecking efforts.
