Director Dealings: Renew buys up Amco
Yorkshire-based Amco, which has a base in Alloa, works with the likes of ScottishPower and Scottish and Southern Energy on engineering projects. The company was bought by Renew in a 27 million deal. Chief executive Brian May said the acquisition would enable the group to increase and broaden the scale of its specialist engineering operations.
Following the announcement of the deal, Roy Harrison, non-executive chairman, increased his stake with the purchase of 40,000 shares at 58p. He now holds 100,000 shares.

Hide Ad- Sir John Parker, chairman of power networks operator National Grid, has topped up his stake by buying 20,000 shares at 549.5p each following an upbeat trading update to take his holding up to 134,712 shares.
- Christopher Calling, US sales director of digital camera developer Andor Technology, has sold 100,000 shares at 460p each and now holds 172,750 shares.
- David Tyler, a non-executive director at credit check firm Experian, has sold 50,000 shares at 772.5p each.
- Ajay Kalsi, chief executive of India-focused energy group Indus Gas, has sold 19.35 million shares at 650p each. He still owns more than two-thirds of the company.

Hide Ad- Andrew Boteler, finance director of technology group Gooch & Housego, has sold down his holding. Together with his wife, he disposed of 15,000 shares at 515p. They still hold 16,065 shares.
- Philip Stimpson, chief executive of medical diagnostics group Mediwatch, has bought 300,000 shares at 3p each and now holds 21.5 million.
- The wife of David Buffham, a non-executive director at touchscreen developer Zytronic, has bought 2,500 shares at 227.1p each.
