COMMUNICATIONS technology group MTI Wireless Edge recently reported a strong start to its financial year with revenues up by almost a third and a swing back into profit.

The Israel-based company, which specialises in flat-panel antennas used by customers including security companies and the military, said all of its markets had shown signs of improvement.

A focus on improving margins and efforts to keep close control of expenses were reflected in a reduction in both R&D and marketing costs compared with the previous quarter.
