Debt group expands as it buys UMS
DEBT collection agency BCW Group yesterday swooped on energy bill specialist Utility Management Services (UMS) in what is believed to have been a seven-figure deal.
Glasgow-based BCW said the takeover would allow it to offer a broader range of services, which it hoped will appeal to utility companies looking to recover debts from their customers.
Bryan Mouat, BCW’s managing director, said: “The UMS team has consistently been top of league tables and they bring a wealth of experience.”

UMS is expected to add about £5m to its turnover.
