Deal action for Plexus and Xodus

TWO Aberdeen-based oil and gas service firms notched up deals yesterday, with engineering outfit Plexus winning a contract to supply well-heads to

Italian energy giant Eni, while consultancy group Xodus took over Dubai-based Prime Energy.

Aim-quoted Plexus expects the contract – for one exploration well off the coast of Australia – to be worth £280,000 and that it could lead to a further three wells worth £1 million. The deal is the firm’s first with Eni and the first under a distribution plan with Breda Energia.

Meanwhile, Xodus has made its first acquisition in the Middle East since opening its Dubai operations last year. Chief executive Colin Manson said: “This is the first major acquisition as part of a significant international expansion drive. Our sights are set on expanding in the Middle East, Africa, India and Asia Pacific.”
