De La Rue remains bullish on results

Banknote printer De La Rue yesterday assured investors it should meet its full-year expectations and was still in talks with a key customer who was affected last year by production problems.

The firm said the paper production problems, which cost it 35 million in its first half to 25 September, had not hit the rest of the business, such as cash processing. It said currency production volumes for the year were expected to be about six billion printed banknotes and 10,000 tonnes of paper, in line with predictions in November.
