David Cowan hails Edmonds merger with Perdiccas

ONE of Scotland's longest-established marketing and design companies, Edmonds UK, has merged with an Edinburgh-based print-buying company Perdiccas.

Perdiccas founders Jim McKie and Scott McGilp join the board of Edmonds as operations director and commercial director.

Edmonds plans to move from its two-site operation in Leith to bring the group under one roof.

David Cowan, Edmonds' managing director, said: "The scope of work Edmonds currently provides is primarily production orientated. Jim and Scott's extensive experience will bring significant improvements to production efficiencies and supply chain management, as well as identifying capital investment opportunities."

Edmonds, originally Edmonds Advertising, was established in Edinburgh, by Robert Tytler Edmonds in 1958.
