Court date for Picsel founders

US FEDERAL court legal papers will be served on the founders of Picsel Technologies this week, along with a court date to answer charges of alleged mishandling of the Glasgow company's finances.

Chicago-based attorney Craig Marr told Scotland on Sunday that an international service of process would be issued "within the next seven to ten days".

The federal court of San Francisco has scheduled a case management conference on 4 August for the litigation to proceed against ex-Picsel executives Imran Khand and Masood Jabbar.

The court action also involves Hamsard Limited, a company set up by the former management team after Picsel fell into administration last October, and another associated firm Lescip T Limited.

Bill Vanke, the former chief operating officer of Picsel Americas, is leading the legal move which centres on problems associated with the firm getting into financial trouble and subsequently emerging as an MBO.

Vanke is joined by several former employees, some who claim they were unpaid for up to a year. They claim Picsel's owners did not include any of the non-UK entities as bankrupt and that creditors, employees and other stakeholders in the business are owed money from those parts of the business.
