Cornett struts his stuff in Lycra – and they paid to watch

GLASGOW business director Brian Cornett swapped his corporate suit for spandex in a gut-busting effort to raise thousands of pounds for a construction industry charity.

Cornett, managing director of Speedy Hire’s Power division, teamed up with fellow directors for a fundraising fitness frolic in aid of the Lighthouse Club.

Clad in questionable shades of lycra, the fundraisers strutted their stuff in their own unique video which was later played at Speedy Hire’s national sales conference. Hundreds of members of staff chipped in to see the film again, helping proceeds to hit the £5,000 mark.

Cornett said: “We thought we’d give the ladies something to feast their eyes over during our conference and judging by the money we’ve raised, they must have been impressed.

“There were one or two stiff bodies the day after the video was filmed, but it was more than worth it.”

The Lighthouse Club offers financial help to workers in the construction industry affected by illness or accident.
