Tesco recalls Lego magazine after it published a 'toxic' dog treats recipe

Supermarket giant has issued an urgent message to warn customers of a “toxic” recipe published in a magazine sold on its shelves.

The company said Lego Friends magazine, issue 77, is being recalled after it was discovered the publication printed a dog treats recipe on page 25 that includes raisins, which are understood to be toxic for dogs.

The warning was issued on Monday this week Tesco’s is urging customers to not use the recipe.

The full statement read: “We have been made aware that Lego Friends magazine issue 77 is being recalled.

"This is due to an ingredient (raisins) that is included in the recipe for Dog Treats on page 25.

"This ingredient is toxic to dogs.

“What you should do? Please do not use the recipe. If you have bought this magazine from us, you can return it to a Tesco store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required.”
