The deal will see LDDS, a partnership between Glasgow-based Direct Distribution and Carrbridge-based Landmark Press, act as supplier to a range of organisations besides VisitScotland, including Historic Scotland, Scottish Natural Heritage and the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

The contract, awarded following a “rigorous” tender process, will run for up to three years and have a potential value of £1.1 million. A number of new staff will also be hired to deal with the additional work.

LDDS director Angus White said: “We recognise that partnership in our industry is essential for success and this was at the heart of our bid. Direct Distribution and Landmark Press have worked together successfully in the Scottish tourism industry for over 20 years.”

Fellow director Danny Fullerton added: “We fully recognise that the diverse range of contract partners in this award have an equally extensive range of marketing needs. LDDS is exceptionally well versed in tailoring bespoke solutions for individual organisations and matching their needs to targeted market sectors and segments.”
