Aldomak now supplies a fifth of its output to the supermarket, after the two firms joined forces about five years ago when Aldi wanted to launch a Scottish range of confectionery for tills in its outlets north of the Border.

“Confectionary merchandising has changed in recent times and now Aldi is positioning us on mainstream shelf space and including us in its highly regarded Specially Selected range, with excellent results,” said Aldomak managing director Dario Riccomini.
