The firm said the latest deal rounded off a “highly successful” two-year spell, which has seen the business increase its turnover by £2m to £5m, while staff numbers have increased to 430.
Donald Carslaw, Complete Cleaning’s owner and managing director, said: “Cleaning industrial complexes like that of OI is always challenging, especially in an environment that operates 24/7.
“We have committed a dedicated team of operatives and managers to deliver the OI contract, and invested in state-of-the-art, specialist equipment to help us achieve the high standards required.”
Two years ago, Owens–Illinois, the US parent company of OI Manufacturing UK, announced an investment of £25m in its Alloa plant, helping to safeguard around 600 jobs.
Details of the deal came as cleaning and detergent manufacturer RP Adam announced the opening of a £100,000 powder production plant at its manufacturing base in Selkirk. It forms part of a wider £400,000 plant improvement and expansion programme delivered by the firm this year.
