Complementary first acquisition for Hunter Adams

A HUMAN resources (HR) firm in Aberdeen has made its first acquisition as it remains on course to turn over £1 million during its first year in business.

Hunter Adams was set up by former Production Services Network (PSN) HR director Dean Hunter, who has now bought fellow Aberdeen firm Spectrum HR from Jenny Murray. She will remain with Hunter Adams as head of outsourcing.

Hunter said: “This acquisition is a big, bold birthday present to Hunter Adams. Spectrum has a strong, specialist client portfolio of niche SMEs in the oil and gas sector, which perfectly complements Hunter Adams’ largely multinational business.

“Jenny developed Spectrum after noticing a gap in the market for business services tailored to help smaller businesses manage their people. We were competitors while she was at engineering consultancy Amec and I was HR director at PSN but I have always admired her no-nonsense effectiveness. Together we will be able to confidently support companies of all sizes, in all sectors.”

Spectrum’s clients include Axiom Processing, Gulfstream Services International and Motion Software.
