Compass pointing in the right direction

CATERING giant Compass yesterday served up news that revenues were growing for the first time in more than a year after "clear signs of stabilisation" in its business and sports arms.

The company has landed deals with blue-chip clients such as BSkyB and Lloyds Banking Group and caters for a host of venues, which include the Jockey Club's racecourses and Chelsea Football Club.

Compass posted underlying revenue growth of 1.5 per cent in the opening quarter of 2010 as more cyclical sports and corporate business improved and trading comparisons eased.
