The hiring drive comes as the firm, which was founded in Lanarkshire as a news agency and employs 100 people, marks its 30th anniversary.

Managing director Laurna Woods said the new positions – in a range of public relations and digital marketing disciplines – will be created across the group’s eight UK offices, including Falkirk and Glasgow.

Beattie has a turnover of £13 million and Woods said she was confident of growing that figure to £16m as its headcount expands. The company, which has secured new business wins from clients including cinema chain Vue, is also investing £20,000 in a training facility in Falkirk.

“Having piled on more than £2m of new business in the past six weeks, we are currently enjoying the most auspicious start to a new year in the history of the group,” Woods said.

“There really is no better way to kick off our 30th birthday celebrations than to announce a 30 per cent growth in our staff numbers.”
