Colin’s cup for it as Ramsdens plans to build on sponsorship

Football fan Colin McLauchlin has found the perfect match at Scottish Football League Challenge Cup sponsor Ramsdens Financial.

The pawnbroking firm has handed its newest director the responsibility of exploring ways of building on the firm’s recent growth.

Teesside-based Ramsdens has opened 29 shops in Scotland in just over two years and McLauchlin, who recently joined the company, is helping to continue the expansion from his base in Edinburgh.

The appointment couldn’t have come at a better time for the life-long football fan, with Ramsdens sponsoring this season of what will be known as the Ramsdens Cup.

He said: “It’s the perfect match as we are a community-based business and the clubs that compete in the competition are very much part of their local communities.

“I am very excited about having our name associated with the tournament and plan to further show our support by going to as many games as possible during the season.”
