Charlotte Street takes on former BBC Scotland man

Communications consultancy Charlotte Street Partners has hired a veteran BBC journalist and programme maker as part of a trio of new appointments.

John Boothman, whose 30-year career with the BBC included a central role developing news coverage north of the Border, joins the firm as an associate partner. He was a member of the executive board of BBC Scotland and the senior leadership team of the public service broadcaster.

Harriet Moll also joins Charlotte Street as an associate partner, from Shelter Scotland, while Stuart Taylor joins as an associate, from the office of former Labour MSP Cara Hilton.

Charlotte Street, which is creating a new media training and client films practice, was formed by founding partners Malcolm Robertson and Andrew Wilson at the start of 2014.

Wilson said: “This is another positive development for the firm with three people of talent bringing a truly diverse range of experience.”
