Chamber reveals new line-up

GLASGOW Chamber of Commerce has unveiled the new line-up of directors for its ruling council at its AGM.

Capital FM Scotland managing director Paul Cooney, John Lewis Glasgow managing director Kim Lowe and Steve Inch, former executive director of regeneration services at Glasgow City Council, have taken up seats on the board.

They will be joined by BDO Stoy Hayward managing partner Neil Craig, Bank of Scotland area director Craig McNaughton, PerTemps regional director Jan McKendry, Glasgow University's director of communications Susan Stewart, Stop Press Media director Fiona Mackay and Stuart Yuill of RSM Tenon.

Chief executive Stuart Patrick said: "Over the next 12 months we will be stepping up our campaign to improve Glasgow and the west of Scotland's transport connections, centred on issues like high-speed rail, the west coast main line and the reinstatement of the route development fund to help increase Glasgow airport's long-haul flight destinations."

The four outgoing members of the council are: Jack McLaren, of accountancy firm Johnston Carmichael; consultant Donnie McKinnon; Lesley Ballantyne of John Lewis; and Graham Paterson from Glasgow University.
