Castle buys part of failed firm Adventi

CASTLE Computer Services, the Bellshill-based IT business, has bought part of the Adventi Group which went into administration last month.

A number of staff from the IT services division of Adventi, which was also based in Bellshill, will transfer to Castle as part of the deal.

The agreement does not include Adventi's education sector division which operated through its Scotsys subsidiary.

Administrators were appointed at Adventi a fortnight ago because of cash flow problems. More than half the 44 staff were made redundant by administrators PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Castle now employs more than 65 people in Scotland and London providing software, hardware and support services.
