Leading independent law firm Burness Paull has strengthened its tax team with the appointment of Christine Yuill as a partner, as the firm responds to growing demand for expert tax advice.

Yuill, who is ranked by Chambers and is a chartered tax adviser, joins Burness Paull from Pinsent Masons.

She will be based in Glasgow and advise the firm’s clients on the full spectrum of tax issues. These include the tax aspects of corporate transactions, tax structuring advice for management and the impacts of share sales and acquisitions for management shareholders, property tax advice, employee share plans and employee benefit trust advice, and employment tax.

Kasia Kozak

Accountants Chiene + Tait (C+T) have announced the appointment of Kasia Kozak as audit director.

Kasia joins from Johnston Carmichael where she led audits for boutique asset managers, private equity funds and financial services sector clients.

And C+T has appointmed Chantelle Martinez to its employment tax compliance and advisory team in Glasgow.

Gregor Scott

After starting her career with a ‘Big Four’ firm in Aberdeen, Chantelle most recently worked at AAB.

Havfram Subsea has appointed Gregor Scott as MD for the company’s UK operation.

Over the last 10 years Gregor has held commercial and leadership roles within the Havfram organisation and as MD (UK) he will assume responsibility for delivering the Havfram Subsea strategy in the UK as the organisation transitions into an independent company following the sale of the offshore wind business last month.

Gregor Scott has more than 20 years’ experience in the international oil and gas and offshore renewables industries working in a variety of roles from naval architect through to commercial management.
