Business briefs: Fairfield announces first Clipper gas | Scottish growth for Punter Southall

Fairfield Energy hailed an “operational milestone” yesterday as it announced first gas production from its wholly owned Clipper South Field in the British North Sea.

Chief executive Chris Wright said: “Not only does Clipper South provide us with substantial additional cash flow, alongside our Dunlin asset, it materially improves our proven developed reserves base.”

Scottish growth for Punter Southall

Punter Southall, the actuarial and pensions consultancy, has relocated to larger offices in Edinburgh city centre as it continues to grow the business north of the Border.

The firm said yesterday that it was now based at 7 Castle Street, having outgrown its former base in South Charlotte Street.

Edinburgh head Gerry Devenney said “steady growth” in new business, such as a recent contract to advise Forth Ports Group, had led to the move.
