Building contractor in receivership

A NAIRN-BASED construction contractor has gone into receivership with the loss of 58 jobs.

John A Jack Contracts had a turnover of 8 million and employed 61 staff. Its failure has been blamed on competitive pressures, poor weather and the recession. Three staff will be retained to help with the winding-down process.
