British Polythene Industries welcomes end to films inquiry

BRITISH Polythene Industries (BPI), the Greenock-based plastic coverings maker, yesterday welcomed the Office of Fair Trading's decision to close its inquiry into the agricultural films market.

But the firm warned that a similar investigation by the European Commission was continuing and that it wasn't sure when the inquiry would end.

Shares in BPI closed down 8.25p at 313.75p.
